Altus provides the full range of Range Operations and Maintenance services. These services include the operation and maintenance/repair of the buildings, facilities, equipment, roads, tank trails, firebreaks, water distribution systems, electrical, and targets/target equipment.
Customer: Yakima Training Center (YTC)
Since 2014 Altus has been providing the Range Operations and Maintenance for the US Department of Army, Multi-Purpose Training Range (MPTR), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Yakima Training Center. YTC is a large, multi-mission military installation that includes state-of-the-art ranges such as a Digital Multi-Purpose Range Complex (DMPRC) and a Multi-Purpose Training Range (MPTR), capable of supporting up to 15,000 troops training daily. YTC has a 2,500 person cantonment capability, with over 200 buildings encompassing over 800,000 square feet, boiler plants, sewage treatment plant, potable and non-potable wells, water and steam distribution systems, paved and unpaved roads, ranges, communication facilities, health clinic, post exchange, two airfields, and ammunition storage.
Altus provides management, operations, maintenance, depot-level repair and replacement of the Enhanced Remote Equipment Target System (ERETS) mechanisms in support of all of the customers’ training and personal comfort requirements. We provide all of the associated labor, materials and equipment described in the contract in support of the range training at four (4) separate sites and operate on a 24-hour-per-day, 365 days-a-year basis. The MPRC/MPTR and the Range 15 Complex are utilized by Active Army, U.S. Army Reserves (USAR), National Guard (NG), Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Foreign Military Forces conducting various military live-fire training scenarios. Altus’ personnel provide all necessary range operations, maintenance, facilities management and ground maintenance in support of these ranges.
